Experience a unique part of Ireland’s history at the Collins Griffith Commemoration in Glasnevin Cemetery on Sunday, 16 August 2026.
Held every year since 1923, this historic ceremony commemorates General Michael Collins and President Arthur Griffith, two of the most significant figures in the foundation of the Irish State.
The ceremony begins at the Sigerson Monument before proceeding to the graves of Arthur Griffith, Eamon Duggan and Michael Collins. It includes a procession, wreath-laying ceremonies, Defence Forces participation, the Last Post and Reveille, and the National Anthem.
Taking place in the historic surroundings of Glasnevin Cemetery.
