The Dublin Cuban Film Festival returns with two Irish premieres and rarely screened shorts from Cuba's revolutionary archives.
Thu 23 July — Cuba After Castro. The first US interview with Cuba's president. Followed by a drinks reception.
Fri 24 July — Nicolás. Maduro's journey from bus driver to president. A first-person account told through archive footage and revolutionary folk music.
Sat 25 July, 1pm — After the Revolution: Part 1. Land reform, rent cuts and peasant uprisings in 1959 Cuba.
Sat 25 July, 4pm — After the Revolution: Part 2. Afro-Cuban music, the US blockade, and Álvarez's Che tribute.
All proceeds to mediCuba-Europe for the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana.
