Festival of Voice: Jóhann Jóhannsson's Drone Mass

Sunday, 24 May 2026
About this event
Two of Ireland's leading ensembles join together in a mesmerising soundscape of voices, strings, and electronics.
Drone Mass isn’t really a mass. It’s a mysterious and richly atmospheric work inspired by ancient Egyptian Coptic hymn.
The late Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson was a singular talent, as celebrated for his theatre and film scores (including Arrival and Sicario) as for his orchestral work. Since his untimely death in 2018, Drone Mass has come to be regarded as the Icelandic composer's crowning achievement.
Tickets €15, €25, €29.50, €35
Presented by NCH and supported by IPUT Real Estate Dublin
